The vendors will have the opportunity to setup the morning of Saturday, June 18th at 8:00am in Hutchinson’s Library Square and remain throughout the weekend during the Kid’s Fun Day on Saturday and the Grande Day Parade on Sunday.

Designs may be designed with up to three colors along with black and/or white. Designs must

Size of the design is not restricted. The design must be reproducible on a button, approximately
2 inches in diameter. A $75 cash prize will be awarded to the creator of the winning design, $50
for the runner-up and $30 for third place.

The 2015 Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival committee and the 2015 Queen candidates will be in your neighborhood on Sunday, May 17th, selling buttons. By purchasing a Water Carnival button, you can make a visual statement of your support for this community event and help make the many activities during Water Carnival week possible.

First place, a $75 prize, will be awarded to Cody Behrendt for his creative and inspiring design. A $50 second place prize will go to Joshua Peterson. The third place prize of $30 will go to Ruby Thran. Watch for Behrendt’s artwork during this year’s Water Carnival activities!
The Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival Committee would like to thank all of the talented individuals that submitted designs for this year’s Button Design Contest.
The 73rd annual celebration of the Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival runs June 15th -21st. The Junior Royalty competition is open to girls and boys who will be between the ages of 7 and 9 years old the week of the Water Carnival, and must reside in the Hutchinson School District. Children who have won or been finalists are ineligible to interview a second time.
A registration form is available at watercarnival.org. A non-returnable photo taken within the last six months, preferably of the child alone, must accompany the registration form and needs to be returned by Friday, May 1st.
Judging will take place Saturday, May 9th at the Christ the King Church, 1040 South Grade Rd, in Hutchinson. Royalty will be crowned at Library Square during ceremonies following the Kiddy Day Parade on Saturday, June 20th, 2015. The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
The new Junior Royalty will attend parades throughout the area during the upcoming year. They will ride the Jaycee Water Carnival float, along with the 2015 Hutchinson Queen and Princess, while representing Hutchinson.

Junior Royalty Registration 2015
Registration and race start will be at West Riverside Park. Registration begins at 6:30 am. The 15K run begins at 8:00 am, the 5K begins at 8:30 am, and the kid’s one mile begins at 9:30 am. Participants must be pre-registered by June 1st in order to receive a short-sleeved performance shirt. Those registered after June 1st are NOT guaranteed to receive a T-shirt so don’t delay, register today.

Boats will leave from Roberts Park, progress down the river past Les Kouba Point to the dam, and return on the opposite side. All entries must provide their own boat and must have enough life preservers to accommodate its participants.
Several other fun-filled events will take place along the river that evening so plan to make a night of it! As is tradition, the canoe races will precede the boat parade with a start time of 6:15 p.m.
