2011 Water Carnival Run by the River

8K Run – 1 Mile Kids Run – 5K Fun and Fitness Walk/Run

Location:  Riverside Jaycee Park along the Crow River (View Map)
Turn south at Taco John’s off Hwy 7 just west of the Hwy 7/Hwy 15 intersection.
 
Start Times:

  • 6:30 – 9:00 am – Onsite Registration*
  • 8:00 am -  8K Run
  • 8:30 am – 5K Fun and Fitness Walk/Run (All Ages)
  • 9:30 am  – 1 Mile Kids Run (12 & under)
  • 9:50 am  -8K & 1 Mile Awards
     
    *Registration ends 30 min prior to each race

Course:  Accurate, flat and fast route along the scenic Crow River on the Luce Line Trail.

Awards:  An awards ceremony for the 8K and 1 Mile runs will be held after the Kids Run. No awards will
be given for 5K walk/run. Please attend to receive your award. Refreshments and snacks are also provided at the finish line. Race times for all races will be posted on www.watercarnival.org 1-2 weeks after race.

1 Mile Kids Run: Medals to the top 2 boys and girls in each age division. 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12.

8K Run: Top male and female participants will receive trophies. Medals are awarded to the top 2 men and
women in each age division. 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over.

Pre-registration Deadlines: Participants of all events are guaranteed a short-sleeved t-shirt if they are preregistered by June 4. Pre-registration fee will be honored if registration is received by June 14, but a Tshirt cannot be guaranteed.

Proceeds Benefit The Hutchinson Health Care Foundation Scholarship Program:
The Hutchinson Health Care Foundation Scholarship Program awards
scholarships for students going into a health care field. Scholarships are
awarded annually to four High School seniors, two employees’ children and a Ridgewater student. These $500 scholarships allow students to work towards a degree in any health care related field. We are proud to keep this program growing and working toward a healthier community. Money raised through this River Run/Fun and Fitness Walk will go directly to the scholarship program. A $300 donation is also made to the Hutchinson High School track team.
