Regarded as one of Water Carnival’s signature events, the Miss Hutchinson pageant takes place the Friday evening of Water Carnival weekend.  The eight Queen Candidates participate in a variety of judged competitions including:

• Formal Gown Competition
• Presentation of Talent
• Candidate/Audience Interaction
• Question & Answer Session

Additionally, the new Mr. Hutchinson and Woman of the Year are revealed.  General admission tickets are available for $8 each at the Hutchinson High School box office.

Queen’s Scholarship Information

Each year, the Water Carnival provides a scholarship to the outgoing Queen and Princess to help them continue their educational pursuits.  You can help by contributing a donation as either a Sustaining Scholarship Donor or as a Scholarship Patron.  In return for your donation, your name will be listed on the pageant program and you have the option of attending the pageant with seating in a preferred section.  For more information, please contact the Pageant Chair, or, use the forms below to submit your donation.

The Miss Hutchinson Coronation brings Water Carnival weekend to a culmination on Sunday evening with the crowning of the new Miss Hutchinson and Princess, awards of Talent and Miss Congeniality and the announcement of the new Vice Commodore. Admission to the coronation is free with a Water Carnival button!
