Become Junior Royalty

Attention Kids Ages 7-9!

Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival is pleased to invite you to participate in the Junior Royalty event as part of our celebration that takes place June 10-16, 2024!

All children age 7-9 during the week of Water Carnival in the Hutchinson School District are eligible to complete registration. All registrants will participate in a group interview followed by an individual interview on the morning of Saturday, May 4th, 2024. A letter with the interview details will be emailed after the registration deadline.

Based on an initial interview session, six children – three girls and three boys – are chosen as Water Carnival Junior Royalty finalists.  These six children participate in many events throughout Water Carnival week.

Junior Royalty Finalists will:

• Have their picture taken and published in the Hutchinson Leader
• Participate in numerous Water Carnival activities with other Junior Royalty finalists and Royalty
• Ride on the Junior Royalty Finalist float during the Water Carnival Grande Day Parade!
• If selected, be crowned as Junior Queen and Junior Commodore and attend parades throughout the summer
